How Recur uses Google services and handles Google user data

About Recur

Recur is an association management platform that helps membership-based organizations run their day-to-day operations — member management, communications, billing, and productivity tools — in one place. Signing in with Google is optional: you can always use an email and password instead, and connecting Google services is entirely under your control.

Interested in using Recur for your association? Visit the Recur website to learn more.

How Recur uses Google Drive

When an organization connects Google Drive, Recur provides a read-only view of selected Google Drive folders:

  • On the organization's Recur Site
  • In the Recur Member Portal for authorized members

This connection is used only to display the contents of folders the organization chooses to make available. Recur does not use this feature to create, edit, move, or delete files in Google Drive, and it does not provide access to folders that have not been selected for display.

How Recur uses Google Tasks

When you connect Google Tasks, Recur keeps your to-dos in sync so work created in Recur shows up where you already manage tasks:

  • Creating and updating tasks in your Google Tasks lists from actions you take in Recur
  • Reading task status so completed items are reflected back in Recur

Recur only touches the task lists involved in this sync and never modifies anything you have not asked it to.

Our commitment to your data

Recur's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

  • We access Google user data only to provide the features described above.
  • We never sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties except as needed to provide these features or as required by law.
  • Humans do not read your data except with your explicit permission, when required for security or legal reasons, or when it is aggregated and anonymized.
  • You can disconnect Google access at any time from your Recur profile or from your Google Account permissions, and we delete stored Google credentials when access is revoked.
